Cancellations

At Mangaldarshan, we strive to deliver seamless and unforgettable travel experiences. However, certain situations may necessitate cancellations or modifications to bookings. Below is a detailed explanation of our cancellation policies:

a) Cancellation by Mangaldarshan

1. Right to Cancel or Revise: Mangaldarshan reserves the right to cancel or revise a booked tour without prior notice. This may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
2. Alternatives Offered: In such cases, we will:
   • Propose alternative tour dates or packages.
   • Offer the option to travel individually instead of as part of a group.
3. Refund Policy: If the alternatives are unacceptable, we will refund the amount paid, deducting any incurred costs, within 45 days. Beyond this refund, Mangaldarshan is not liable for further reimbursement or damages if you opt to cancel.

b) Cancellation by the Guest

1. Notification in Writing: All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email or letter. The effective cancellation date will be the date we receive your written notification.
2. Insurance Claims: Any claims arising from cancellations should be directed to your insurance provider.

c) Cancellation Charges

The following charges will apply for cancellations, regardless of the reason:

d) Visa Rejections

Visa rejections will be treated as cancellations on the date we receive the rejection notice. Please refer to our Visa Guidance Section for more details.

e) Payment Defaults

If payments are not made on time, Mangaldarshan may:

• Treat the failure as a cancellation.
• Apply cancellation charges based on the date of default notice.

f) Non-Payment Before Departure

If no formal cancellation is issued but outstanding payments or defaults remain unresolved by the departure date, the booking will be treated as canceled. The highest cancellation charge will apply.

g) Booking Amendments

1. Amendment Requests: Requests for amendments must be submitted in writing and are subject to availability.
2. New Booking Treatment: Changes are treated as new bookings.
3. Alteration Fee: A fee of INR 2,500 per person applies.
4. Cancellation Period Changes: If amendments are requested during the cancellation period, cancellation charges will apply as if a cancellation was made on the request date.

h) Tour Transfers

1. Transfer Requests: Requests to transfer to another tour, if made 15 days before departure, will be treated as cancellations.
2. Fees:
   • Transfer Fee: INR 5,000 per person.
   • Additional Costs: Re-processing fees for visas, air tickets, hotels, etc.
3. Cancellation Period Transfers: Cancellation charges will apply if the transfer request is within the cancellation period.

Refund Policy & Rate of Exchange (R.O.E.)

1. Direct Refunds: Refunds for cancellations or changes are processed directly for bookings made with Mangaldarshan.
2. Through Agents: If booked via a Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) or Travel Agent (TA), refunds will be routed through the agent.
3. Processing Timeline: Refunds may take up to 30 working days to process.

Important Notes on Refunds:

1. Unutilized Services: Refunds will not be provided for partially or fully unutilized services (e.g., airline tickets, meals, entrance fees, optional tours, hotels, etc.).
2. Foreign Exchange Component: Any refund for foreign exchange components will be refunded in INR at the prevailing day’s exchange rate of Mangaldarshan.
3. Third-Party Refunds: Refunds from airlines, cruises, and overseas suppliers may take 30-90 working days, subject to submission of relevant documents.
4. Cancellations by Mangaldarshan: If Mangaldarshan cancels a tour, all payments will be refunded after deducting expenses for visas and other services.
